Sights and Sounds: Susanna Hoffs y Matthew Smith

El año pasado vivimos la segunda vuelta de SUSANNA HOFFS con las Bangles y dimos buena de sus colaboraciones con Matthew Sweet y sus otros trabajo en solitario. Hace unos meses la HOFFS volvió a la carga con "SOMEDAY" un disco de corte retro inspirado en la música de los sesenta y su trabajo mas maduro hasta la fecha.

La carrera en solitario de SUSANNA HOFFS ha sido bastante irregular. Pero puede que eso se arregle con la publicación de SOMEDAY un gran disco en el que nos quitamos el sombrero ante la Susanna Hoffs músico y compositora. Porque su bellísima voz siempre ha sido un valor añadido.

Hoffs ha sido como una esponja en los años que ha colaborado con el maestro Matthew Sweet y eso se nota en su crecimiento personal como músico. Además, SOMEDAY es otro de esos discos de corte retro, e intemporal al mismo tiempo, que tan bien funcionan en otras artistas contemporáneas como es el el caso de RUMER.

Sidney Matthew Sweet (Lincoln, Nebraska, 6 de octubre de 1964) es un músico estadounidense de pop rock. Formó parte de la floreciente escena musical de Athens, Georgia a principios y mediados de los años 1980, antes de obtener éxito comercial durante la década de 1990. En la actualidad, continúa publicando álbumes y realizando giras.
